4 Indian portals among 'Best of Web' India Abroad News Service, New York:
Four Indian portals figure in a 150 best of the web list chosen by a leading magazine from among 1,500 websites for qualities like design and content, among others. The details of all the 150 sites, prepared by the Forbes global magazine, which are grouped into ten categories with some chosen as favourites, have been published in the March 6 issue of the magazine. The sites chosen by Forbes 11 member. 'Best of the Web' team applied five criteria for judging design, navigation, content, speed and customisation. The merits and drawbacks of each site are mentioned under each portals name and address. "Here are the sites we think are well worth a visit. None is perfect; all are works in progress," it said. The four websites run by Indian companies are Equity Master and Mutual Funds India both under the category of mutual funds as well as 123India.com and ICICI Bank under the categories of functional portals and cyberbanking respectively.
